What you'll do:

  • Performance Excellence:
    • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement across the Sky Business technology estate
    • Partner with the cyber function to ensure secure technology services and compliance standards & processes are met

  • In-Life Operations:
    • Act as the gatekeeper for in-life operations and take responsibility for service readiness for new product / capability launches

    • Proactive approach to optimising, innovating and continuously improving the delivery of in-life operations
    • Define future organisation design - developing and maintaining in-life operating models across Sky Business Technology, ensuring alignment with all supporting and responsible teams
    • Manage operational budgets, ensuring accurate / insightful reporting & governance, working with all teams to manage, track and adhere to monthly forecasts and full year targets
  • Transformation:
    • Be an agent of change, identifying & driving ways of working improvements in our fast-paced environment
    • Capture high-level automation & optimisation recommendations & improvements and progress these through to successful introduction
    • Be incessantly curious, driven by data and knowledge to evidence optimisation and innovation opportunities across the technical services that we build, support and operate

What you'll bring:

  • Extensive experience of technology operations and performance for large scale and complex organisations with a proven track record of delivery
  • A range of experience and technical expertise across infrastructure, operating systems and software
  • Broad knowledge across the technology spectrum so you can converse confidently and challenge when needed
  • Familiarity and understanding of the design, implementation, and management of operating models in a technology / telco environment
  • A strong understanding of compliance and experience of operating and managing IT security best practices
  • Proven financial awareness & acumen ideally with budget management experience
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team and foster a collaborative work environment
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL concepts and best practices including major incident management, problem, change and SLA management
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, must have the vision to anticipate problems and issues as well as the creativeness to provide solutions

Team overview:

You will be joining the Sky Business to Business team, working in the Technology function. The team listen, influence and join the dots between business and technology strategies, looking ahead, shaping and influencing technology, building solutions and servicing customers across Sky Business and Comcast Business entities. This is a team with drive and dynamism, working at the forefront of product and technology adoption.

The team is comprised of Sky veterans that work across the breadth of Sky Business services - TV and communications, large and small accounts. The team is passionate, fun and focused - working as one, connecting our leading-edge teams to deliver better work and innovation.
