About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Financial Planning Analyst.


You will work closely with managers to understand the organisation, and naturally build effective relationships with people working across all departments and at all levels of CMI.


You will have the opportunity to work on highly important projects during a period of change at CMI, gain exposure to senior leadership, and hone your financial planning and reporting skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, biannual reforecasts, scenario planning ensuring the business requirements are reflected
  • Collaborate with the financial accounting team to provide input into consolidated budgets and reports
  • Create financial models to support good decision making, and that include non-finance departmental needs
  • Support reporting to disclose non-financial information related to environmental, social and governance performance
  • Report on key performance indicators, produce business intelligence for group level information, and prepare for leadership reviews
  • Assist in the month-end close processes to ensure accurate revenue reporting
  • Monitor capital and project expenditure against budgets with coordination with stakeholders
  • Work closely with the sales planning team to ensure accurate revenue forecast, and weekly reporting
  • Ensure the accuracy of budgets and forecasts within the accounting system
  • Maintain accurate P&L and capex budgets within the financial planning, and procure-to-pay systems

  • Part-qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent)
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical application
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Good business acumen, with an ability to step back and see the big picture
  • Good communication skills with the ability to engage with senior management
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines
  • A proactive approach and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Familiarity with salesforce, and adaptive planning is advantageous
  • Good spreadsheet skills (intermediate-expert level)
