A luxury beauty brand is on the hunt for a dedicated Supply Planner to be based in London.
As Supply Planner, you will support the successful and smooth running of all Supply Chain operations.
Your key responsibilities:
- Support in the purchasing of stock with global suppliers; working with the Supply Chain Manager to review required demand, assess material requirements and supplier MOQs.
- Support in the negotiations of costs, MOQ and lead times.
- Maintain and develop relationships with global contract manufacturers, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and 3PL providers.
- Work closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers throughout the ordering process, from PO placement through to delivery. Request schedule updates, answering queries and resolving problems as required.
- Use of the ERP system, SAP, to maintain accuracy of order information, stock levels, product data, stock transfers and creation of SKU codes.
- Manage an import shipping schedule: obtain quotes from freight forwarders, provide and/or complete necessary shipment documentation. Monitor shipment schedule ensuring successful delivery into contract manufacturers and 3PL locations.
- Resolve the root-cause problems relating to production, logistics, imports and exports and customs clearance.
- Verification and authorisation of supplier packing lists and invoices, working closely with Finance to resolve invoice discrepancies and provide input towards priority invoices.
- Produce a weekly stock report, communicating current stock levels, stock cover, future inbounds, current and expected out of stocks.
- Support in the arranging of freight for all stock transfers between all 3PL locations.
- Work closely with internal teams: NPD, Regulatory and Design throughout the ordering process, placing NPD orders and ensuring the timely supply of packaging artworks.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to review and identify opportunities for improved processes.
Our ideal candidate possesses both technical and interpersonal strengths with a degree preferably in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration. You’ll have strong written and numerical abilities, with a knack for clear communication and utilising information effectively. Basic to intermediate computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, are a must. A degree or relevant experience in the beauty industry is preferred, alongside advanced Excel proficiency.
In your past roles, you’ve demonstrated a drive for self-development and progression. Experience with ERP systems, commercial awareness, and knowledge of SAP are valuable assets. Having worked in both large and small companies, ideally with a luxury background, is a plus.
