The Role

Reporting to the Head of Content, the Senior Producer for Independent TV will lead the production of new and established shows for our channels, as well as working hand in hand with our commercial team on creating bespoke content for our brand partners.


This role will work with the best of our talent from across the company, collaborating with our producers and journalists and creating new best-in-class formats and documentaries that appeal to a broad international audience.


You will help to identify and attract talent that can elevate our storytelling and extend our voice across all platforms. You will also be expected to give feedback on the work of others in the team, being a proven creative who can lead by example with positivity, encouragement and flair.

About you

Essential skills and experience

  • An experienced video producer with a proven track record of bringing to life excellent, engaging programming.
  • A skilled director - you can set the look and feel for your shows.
  • A natural communicator and collaborator who can work effectively with small and large teams, giving clear notes and informing all relevant stakeholders on your projects.
  • Obsessed with culture - from television, magazines, literature, and social media, you draw inspiration from a broad range of sources.


Additional desirable skills

  • Scripting - writing scripts, episode breakdowns and treatments for our programming.
  • Talent direction - You work well with new and experienced on-screen talent, helping them to deliver the best version of themselves.
  • Shooting - You have an eye for a great image and can happily pick up a camera to create those images yourself.
  • Editing - You are comfortable cutting your content where necessary and can are happy to quickly put a rough cut together with clear handover notes for our editors.
