We are actively seeking a Commercial & Personal Insurance Lawyer. This includes drafting, reviewing, and advising on insurance policies, as well as collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This in-house hybrid opportunity with our prominent insurance client

We are actively seeking a Commercial & Personal Insurance Lawyer located in the London area with the following qualifications:

  • Qualified solicitor or lawyer with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate or commercial law, with a focus on insurance.
  • Strong understanding of both commercial and personal insurance products and associated legal frameworks.
  • Proven ability to draft and review complex insurance policies and agreements.
  • Experience in advising on claims-related matters and familiarity with the claims function, without being an adjuster.
  • Strong knowledge of UK insurance regulations; experience with international insurance regulations is a plus.
  • Willingness to support hybrid role requiring 3-4 days onsite in London-based office.
  • Epiq Counsel partners with industry-leading clients in support of their sophisticated interim talent needs. Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model.


Support our corporate client on the following:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate insurance policies, endorsements, and related commercial agreements.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on a variety of commercial and personal insurance matters, ensuring compliance with UK and international regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, claims professionals, and other stakeholders to address legal issues in the underwriting and claims process.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on emerging legal trends affecting the insurance sector.
