Role Description
As an LME Broker you will be responsible for executing trades, managing client relationships and managing risk.
Day To Day Responsibilities
- Trade Execution: Execute client orders on the LME and CME platforms with precision and speed, ensuring best execution practices. Manage and monitor open positions and orders.
- Market Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, price movements, and economic indicators relevant to base metals trading. Provide insights and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage risk associated with arbitrage trading strategies. Monitor market exposure and ensure compliance with risk management policies and regulatory requirements.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with market updates, trading ideas, and execution services. Address client inquiries and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of trades, client interactions, and market analysis. Prepare regular reports on trading performance and market conditions for internal and client review.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other brokers, traders, and analysts to share insights and strategies. Collaborate with compliance, operations, and risk management teams to ensure smooth trading processes.
Experience required
- Extensive experience in LME and CME trading, with a strong focus on arbitrage strategies. Proven track record in executing trades and managing arbitrage opportunities.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of LME and CME markets, including contract specifications, trading mechanisms, and market dynamics. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and act on trading opportunities.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in trading platforms (LMEselect, CME Globex, etc.) and tools for market analysis. Familiarity with risk management systems and procedures.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues. Strong presentation skills for conveying market insights and strategies.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in trade execution and documentation. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Compliance with [relevant licenses/certifications] is required.
