Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and creative Market Research and Insights Analyst to join our team. The role will leverage Foxtons’ proprietary property data to uncover valuable insights for the business, clients, and consumers, helping us better understand market trends, behaviour, and performance drivers. You will help bring the data to life, crafting compelling stories that resonate with key stakeholders, and creating engaging visualisations that simplify complex data.
This role will work across Sales, Lettings, Build to Rent, New Homes, Residential Development, and Investments, collaborating with various teams to deliver actionable insights. While property sector experience is preferred, it is not essential; however, strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel are a must.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Utilize Foxtons' proprietary data to uncover key insights into market trends, Use these insights to support decisions across Sales, Lettings, Build to Rent, New Homes, and Residential Development.
- Storytelling with Data: Turn complex data into clear and engaging narratives that communicate findings in a compelling and actionable way for both internal teams and external clients.
- Market Research: Conduct research on property markets, trends, and consumer behaviour, both through internal data and external sources, to provide in-depth analyses that inform Foxtons' strategies.
- Visual Data Representation: Create dynamic visualizations and reports that make data easy to understand for non-technical stakeholders. Use Excel and other data visualization tools to craft visually impactful reports and dashboards.
- Business Partnering: Work closely with the Sales, Lettings, Build to Rent, and Investments teams to provide them with timely and relevant insights that support their goals and decision-making processes and view of the market.
- Consumer Insights: Understand client and consumer behaviour through data analysis, helping to tailor Foxtons’ services and communications to meet their needs more effectively.
- Reporting: Produce regular market reports and bespoke insights for both internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring that insights are timely and relevant.
- Collaboration: Liaise with other departments to ensure consistency and accuracy of data across all business areas, and to align insights with broader business objectives.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Data Storytelling: Ability to translate complex data into engaging, easy-to-understand insights and narratives that drive action.
- Advanced Excel Proficiency: Expertise in Excel is essential, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, and macros.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify key insights.
- Data Visualization: Experience with data visualization tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is highly desirable, but advanced Excel skills for data visualization are a must.
- Research Skills: Strong research capabilities, with the ability to conduct market analysis and consumer research to support strategic business decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment, with experience collaborating with sales teams or other client-facing departments.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when dealing with complex datasets and generating reports.
- Commercial Awareness: Strong understanding of business needs and commercial drivers, with the ability to align insights to business goals.
- Experience in Property (Preferred but not essential): Previous experience working within the property sector or in market research for a similar industry is advantageous.
