Job Description
Fabric Social is on the hunt for a London-based Video Content Shooter and Editor. Immediate start preferable but not essential.
We are looking for a technically skilled and social media savvy Video Social Content creator to join our exciting, growing team at Fabric Social UK
The social-first video content you will be shooting and editing will ultimately be wide-ranging, but primarily you will be responsible for self-producing fast-turnaround ‘brand in hand’ content for some of the UK’s biggest and most exciting consumer brands; including Currys, The Fragrance Shop, Optimum Nutrition and Andrex. You'll be a key player in crafting original, social-first brand content that resonates with consumers and drives results.
The Role:
- Shooting & Editing ‘Brand In Hand’ Content: Predominantly, you will conceptualise and self-shoot various short-form videos for our clients’ social pages (primarily TikTok and IG) showing their product being used. You will be comfortable taking on the initial brief from our creative team and owning the technical-creative side yourself.
- VoxPop Content: For some of our clients, you will shoot and edit on-the-street interviews alongside a host and accompanying Accounts Manager/Producer
- Sketch Content: In some cases, you may shoot and edit social-first short ‘skits’ alongside a Director/Producer.
- Reactive and Trends: Always on top of the latest memes and trends, and the ability to react with client and brand messaging in mind.
General Requirements
- London-based (you will be expected in-office 2x a week, as well as to attend various shoots around the city at times)
- Must own your own basic-level shooting equipment
- 1-2 years of experience professionally in Social Media Video
- Some experience creating, shooting and editing 'brand-in-hand' POV/macro-shot social content.
- Strong, natural understanding and enjoyment of Video for TikTok & Instagram; a knowledge of what highly engaging social first video needs to look like
- Natural visual shooting and editing instincts, eye for detail
- Natural instincts for both rapid-fire editing and social-first comedic timing in the editing process.
- Excited by Social Trends with an understanding of ‘Online’ culture and social humour
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Technical Skillset Requirements
- Camera Skills: DSLR level and above, though also with ability and experience shooting engaging content using smartphone cameras
- Editing / Motion Graphics Skills: Premiere Pro (proficient) + After Effects (basic)
- Experience and clear understanding on shooting in vertical video formats
- Instinctively speedy turnarounds on shooting/editing short-form content
Preferred (Non-essential to apply)
- Experience working within Social Media / marketing agencies; freelance or in-house
- Experience with macro Videography/Photography in the FMCG, retail brands & food & drink space.
- Sound Design experience/understanding.
- Advanced Motion Graphics skills (basic After Effects skills are required)
What We Offer:
- The opportunity to work with a talented and passionate team in a fast-paced environment
- Competitive salary
- Be at the forefront of social media content, working with clients who want to push boundaries to industry acclaim
- Hybrid working environment
