- Can you lead, plan and structure projects where data is the key component?
- Do you have experience with business platforms such as ERP and CRM?
- Do you like to be flexible and get involved with differing disciplines in a fast-moving environment?
If you live and breathe data from SQL, ETL and Data Warehousing through to Power BI and MS Fabric, then this could be the right opportunity for you.
What will you be doing?
This role is to maintain and develop the Data Service for an innovative and niche paper technology business. They are looking to transform their business systems and making sure the data is high value is a key part of that transformation. - Maintaining an awareness of developments and best practise in relevant business intelligence and reporting tools and technologies, particularly those relating to the Microsoft Fabric product set.
- Providing support for the Head of Department in delivering the wider Information Services strategy and on occasion deputise for them.
What skills and experience are required to be successful in the role?
This is a hands-on role with deep Data skills a must, however it is also a role that will be involved with ensuring that IT systems meet the requirements of a niche manufacturing business. Therefore, it is equally important that the successful candidate has strong soft skills and can represent the IT Team with senior stake-holders and 3rd party suppliers.
- SQL server, T-SQL, SSRS and experience of creating secure data marts.
- Data warehouse and ETL technologies
- PowerBI, and PowerBI gateway to create and deliver reports and dashboards with automated dataflows.

- Jira Service Desk software
- SharePoint development
- The latest Microsoft Fabric toolset for delivering data services.
- Manufacturing industry processes and functionality
What is in it for you?
This is an influential role. You will get to work collaboratively without micromanagement. It is an opportunity to show leadership and be a “go to” person in the business.

25 days holiday per annum (plus bank holidays)
