You’ll have completed or be willing to complete qualifications such as the NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health & Social Care, be registered with Social Care Wales, and understand the principles of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2016. Proficiency in both English and Welsh is essential.

What the Job Involves

As a Support Worker in our Disability Respite Provision, you will be part of a dedicated team providing practical and personal assistance to individuals according to their personal plans and needs. Your responsibilities will include supporting individuals in developing personal, living, and social skills, administering medication, maintaining accurate records, and observing confidentiality. Additionally, you will participate in planning and executing activities that meet the needs and outcomes of those you support, ensuring a safe and caring environment. Compliance with Health & Safety practices, attending relevant training, and collaborating with family, friends, and other professionals are integral to the role. A professional standard of work, adhering to the Codes of Practice for Social Care Workers, is expected at all times.
