This is an exciting opportunity to join ICONIC London’s dynamic, enthusiastic, and hard-working New Product Development team.


ICONIC London is a fast-growing colour cosmetic brand founded only 9 years ago. Born online and via social media (1.7million IG followers, 288k+Tik Tok followers), the brand and our unique and beautiful products are in high demand. With an online strong presence, the brand is also partnered with several world class retailers including Sephora Americas, H Beauty, Harvey Nichols, Cult Beauty, Look Fantastic and is expanding globally.


The Assistant NPD Manager will be a driven, passionate, can-do individual, responsible for developing new colour cosmetics products to fuel the innovation calendar in a fast-paced environment.


You will directly contribute to building the ICONIC London product portfolio with your own creative and visionary ideas, developing products from start to finish, supported by the Senior NPD Manager. Whilst the baseline responsibilities of the Assistant NPD Manager are focused on product development, a consumer centric approach, a trend-led mindset and a strategic marketing skillset are key to succeed. In addition, administrative and organisational/supportive tasks must be done willingly, as part of the role. Attention to detail is critical in every step of the development process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Senior NPD Manager with fuelling the innovation pipeline and NPD calendars with unique and innovative ideas & concepts, always with a consumer centric approach, based on trends and competitive research.
  • Ownership of NPD process, from idea stage, through concept, execution and launch for multiple projects happening simultaneously at different stages.
  • Input and present financial analysis of projects to line manager with understanding of gross margin and profitability.
  • Manage the sample production process, including approval of samples and evaluating submissions.
  • Work with external design teams to ideate, write and proof artworks.
  • Support Senior NPD Manager with the user trial process including creating desired claims, questionnaires, and management of samples, to then report evaluation.
  • Management of supplier relationships to ensure critical path is closely managed.
  • Working collaboratively with Regulatory Affairs to ensure product compliance and a smooth registration across different markets.
  • Creation and ownership of product concept sheets and dossiers to ensure the success of each development project.
  • Active participation in weekly internal and external supplier meetings.
  • Occasional travelling to attend industry events, meet suppliers, present to clients, etc.


SKILLS & APTITUDES:

  • 2-3 years product development experience within the beauty industry.
  • Experience in Colour Cosmetics is desired.
  • Effective and efficient communication skills to convey information clearly & efficiently with all cross functional teams.
  • Passion for colour cosmetics, demonstrating knowledge of the makeup category.
  • Experience working within a fast-moving consumer goods organization required.
  • Enthusiastic can-do attitude and great team player.
  • Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to detail is critical in this role.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Any other program is a bonus, e.g. Photoshop…
