You are committed to adhering to health and safety regulations and uphold the Council's Customer Care Policy. You comfortably wear corporate clothing and emphasize maintaining the Council's image. Lastly, you are open to continuous training, participate in departmental initiatives, and support the development of your team through training and induction programs.

What the Job Involves

The role involves managing refuse collection operations on-site and driving refuse collection vehicles, ensuring compliance with safe driving standards. You will supervise refuse collectors, maintaining operation efficiency and safety. Your responsibilities include daily vehicle checks and ensuring all vehicles are maintained thoroughly, including weekly cleaning. You will also operate plant and equipment safely and assist with daily operations like loading and disposal of refuse. Adhering to health, safety, and customer care protocols is crucial, as is ensuring your team follows suit. Wearing protective clothing and maintaining the Council's corporate image are key, as is participating in training and development programs. You'll ensure compliance with regulations and contribute actively to introducing new systems and procedures.
