Derby UK, Derbyshire, United Kingdom Morvern Group Full time

Company Overview

Morvern Group is an engineering firm specialising in cutting-edge airfoil solutions and technologies for the Aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine sectors.

With a strong track record of delivering exceptional projects, Morvern Group is committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation. We are currently seeking a talented and driven Project Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Tarpey Wax and Tarpey Ceramics site located in Denby, UK.

Role Description

This is a "hands-on" role in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Your day-to-day will be far from routine, presenting new challenges every day. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, ready to take on various tasks, and comfortable wearing several hats throughout the day. We are not a suit-and-tie site; we're seeking individuals who are unafraid to solve problems and document their learning experiences.

As a member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects. You will "own" products from concept, through qualifications and while in production.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, manufacturers, and clients, to ensure the successful execution of projects within established timelines and budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire project lifecycle, from project initiation to delivery, ensuring adherence to project objectives, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to define project requirements and specifications.
  • Develop project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Coordinate the design, development, and testing of components or equipment.
  • Perform risk assessments, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct technical analyses, feasibility studies, and performance evaluations.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, promoting a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or HND in Engineering or a related field.

• Proficiency in project management

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

• Solid organizational and time management skills.
