Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Chester-le-Street, United Kingdom. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing personalised care and support in their daily activities.

  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to prevent loneliness and isolation
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, whilst maintaining dignity and respect
  • Support clients with medication management, including collecting prescriptions and providing reminders
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment
  • Aid clients with mobility, ensuring their safety when moving around their home or attending appointments
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge
Qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families
  • Genuine compassion, patience, and a positive attitude in all interactions
  • Responsible and dedicated approach to work, with a commitment to providing high-quality care
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and work schedules
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring mobility and lifting
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a care setting
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to undergo necessary training and obtain relevant qualifications
  • Previous experience in a care role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
  • Valid right to work in the United Kingdom
