Contract Project Coordinator



Position: Contract Project Coordinator

Start Date: Early July

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Remote with occasional trips to the client's office in the North of England

Rate: TBC Day rate our of scope of IR35 c £300 - £340 per day



We are seeking a skilled and proactive Project Coordinator to join our team on a 6-month contract starting in early July. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic individual with experience in project office support, programme office support, PMO support, and project coordination.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive project office support to ensure the smooth running of transformation projects/programmes
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Maintain project documentation, including templates, project charters, schedules, and status reports.
  • Monitor project progress actions and handle any issues that arise.
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Ensure clients' needs are met as projects evolve.
  • Support the programme office with tracking project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short- and long-term actions.
  • Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and provide documentation to internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.



Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in project office support, programme office support, PMO support, and project coordination within Transformation programmes
  • ideally worked in Transport or Utilities or Public Sectors
  • Strong organisational skills, including attention to detail, multitasking abilities and time management.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle a changing and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel to the client's office in the North of England on rare occasions.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Experience working in a remote environment.
