Front of House Manager (Hotel) - Braemar

As an accomplished, forward-thinking Front of House Manager, you are ready to lead a dynamic team in providing efficient, prompt, courteous, trouble free and proactive service to guests; hence maximise room revenue and guest satisfaction. All work will be in line with The Fife Arms Core Values, the hotel's guidelines, and business plan.

As Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and coordinating Front Office operations to provide the highest standard of service.
  • Achieving guest satisfaction, room and other (guest experience) revenue goals by supervising the Front Office operation.
  • Ensuring that Front Office is staffed according to need by utilising business forecasts to schedule employees.
  • Overseeing and participating in the prompt and courteous check-in and check-out of guests.
  • Addressing questions or problems pertaining to guest room accommodation and rates.
  • Keeping effective key control and participates in matters relating to customer room security.
  • Monitoring advance deposit and credit procedures.
  • Responding to positive and negative comments expressed in comments from guests, and in written feedback, and develops strategies to improve.
  • Bringing major needs for repair to the attention of the Property Manager.
  • Checking the arrival list, events list, and VIP list and informs appropriate individuals on returning guests, VIPs, and special guests.
  • Blocking rooms for VIP's and special guests.
  • Monitoring Front Office activities regarding discounts, billing instructions, and compliance with hotel credit policies.
  • Managing the Pay Master accounts, ensuring that payments are received within our payment terms.

Our successful Front of House Manager will have:

  • Proven experience from within a similar luxury hospitality environment.
  • The enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
  • Previous experience working with Opera Cloud.
  • Initiative, emotional intelligence and strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience of training, coaching and mentoring others
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • A passion and ambition to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • A willingness to work to the high standards that are demanded from a luxury establishment.
