CLEARANCE TYPE: UK-Security Check (SC)

iO Associates are on the lookout for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead innovative projects in mechanical design, FEA, and CFD for a well known aerospace and defence company. You'll collaborate with customers, manufacturers, and test houses, overseeing designs and ensuring compliance with standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for mechanical design
  • Lead FEA, CFD, and mechanical/electro-mechanical design activities
  • Review and approve technical documentation, including drawings and BOMs
  • Provide leadership to the mechanical team and resolve design challenges

What You'll Need:

  • Significant experience in Mechanical Design Engineering
  • An engineering degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of Defence Standards and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Role Clearance Type:
You must be able to gain and maintain the relevant UK Government clearance in line with the job role (SC)
