Job Title: Ecommerce Manager
Location: Stroud (remote-first role 1-2 days per week in the office with travel expenses covered)
Freja is a high-growth, multi-channel nutrition brand. We’ve grown the business to an 8 figure run rate and become the category leader since launching in 2020. We’ve achieved rapid growth across all sales channels, successfully raised an investment round, and won a few awards along the way (including Food & Drink Startup of the Year, and Best Visual Identity in Food & Drink Category).
We’re a small team that punches above its weight. We like to work with people who are proactive, entrepreneurial and commercial, with first-class communication skills. The key to success in our business is to hit the ground running, take ownership of your role, manage upwards, and make great things happen.
The business is remote-first, with frequent face to face meetings and workshops (1x-2x / week). As such, the ideal candidate will need the ability to travel to Stroud, Gloucestershire.
The Role & Responsibilities -
There’s an exciting opening for an experienced Ecommerce Manager to join the team, a key position in a rapidly growing brand.
The role takes hands-on day to day ownership of the front-end, consumer-facing elements of our ecommerce business, in close collaboration with our broader Marketing and Growth teams (influencer, affiliate, performance marketing, content production).
Important:
This is an ecommerce generalist - we’re looking for someone with a broad understanding of ecommerce trading, digital marketing, and conversion optimisation.
Your natural home will be in multiple CMS platforms optimising for user experience, building landing pages and emails, and optimising the shopping journey.
Reporting to the Head of Growth and working closely with the CEO, you’ll be part of an experienced cross-functional team.
Key responsibilities:
- CMS: Manage all front end elements of our ecom platforms (Shopify, Amazon) ensuring that the core funnel, landing pages and emails are consistent with brand and offer a great user experience
- Shopify: Basic Shopify technical skills. You don't need to code Liquid from scratch, but you should know your way around the back-end of a mid-size store with some complexity.
- Email: Build and send emails and SMS in Klaviyo (flows and campaigns)
- CRO: Use analytics tools to analyse, test, and optimise every touchpoint
- Content management: ensure that every piece of content, from product thumbnails to blog articles are well crafted and engaging
- SEO: Owning the on-page strategy (keyword relevance, internal linking, technical SEO)
- Merchandising: Ensuring that promos, up/cross-sells, products and bundles are well setup and well communicated
- Design and visual communication - you will be using Canva or Figma to spin up basic website and email graphics as needed.
Key Skills & Experience -
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years working in an Ecommerce role for a similar brand
- Very comfortable working with Shopify and Klaviyo (Amazon is desirable but not essential)
- Research, organisation, and communication skills are essential
- A willingness to grow with the company
- A genuine interest in our brand and our product - if you don’t love it you can’t sell it
- Current right to work and live in the UK
What’s in it for you -
- The opportunity to play a key role in a growing challenger brand.
- Proper responsibility for a strategically important area.
- Competitive salary + company performance bonus.
- All employees will have EMI share options, giving them the opportunity to participate in our success
- Remote-first role, 5 days per month in the office.
- Flexible working hours.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- The tech you need to get the job done.
- Allocated budget and time off for personal and professional training and development.
- Plenty of bone broth
