Responsibilities


As a Business Architect, you will play a crucial role in guiding and shaping the transformation of an organisation. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, design target operating models, develop strategic roadmaps, and analyse requirements. Throughout the transformation program, you will be involved in various activities, including design, build, testing, and change management, to ensure successful implementation and alignment with business objectives.


Strategy Development:


· Collaborate with senior leadership to understand strategic goals and objectives.

· Conduct analysis of the current state of the business and identify areas for improvement.

· Develop target operating models, business capabilities, and roadmaps to achieve strategic objectives.


Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering:


· Elicit, document, and analyse business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

· Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather insights and define business processes.

· Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and digital transformation.

Solution Design and Architecture:

· Design end-to-end business solutions, ensuring they align with strategic objectives.

· Create and refine business process models, data models, and functional specifications.

· Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical designs.

· Assure that the solution build aligns to the target operating model and maintain change control of strategic requirements.


Program Management and Governance:


· Collaborate with program managers to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.

· Develop and maintain program-level governance frameworks and processes.

· Monitor and track progress of the transformation program and identify and address any issues or risks.


Change Management and Communication:


· Develop change management strategies to facilitate smooth adoption of new processes and systems.

· Engage stakeholders at all levels and effectively communicate the benefits and impacts of the transformation.

· Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users on new processes and systems.


Testing and Quality Assurance:


· Define test strategies and plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage of business requirements.

· Collaborate with testing teams to develop test cases, scripts, and scenarios.

· Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure successful resolution of any identified issues.


Required Skills

· 3-5 years of experience as a Business Architect, or in a similar role, preferably within large-scale transformation programs.

· Strong understanding of business architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF or Zachman.

· Proficiency in business process modelling tools and techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML).


Additional Skills


· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.

· Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Project management experience and familiarity with Agile or other project management methodologies.

· Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in business architecture, business analysis, and digital transformation.

· Experience with enterprise-level software and systems, including ERP, CRM, and business intelligence tools.

· Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

· Change management expertise, including change impact analysis, communication planning, and user adoption strategies.

· Proficient in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management techniques.

· Strong facilitation skills for workshops, interviews, and requirements gathering sessions.

· Familiarity with testing and quality assurance practices, including test case development and user acceptance testing.
