A Network Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our complex network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity, high availability and optimal performance.

You will play a vital role in supporting the growth of our platform, ensuring the successful deployment of new products whilst dealing with market leading vendors.

You will be responsible for completing support functions, troubleshooting network issues, and implementing solutions to meet the demands of our fast-paced environment. You will also handle challenging tasks with efficiency and precision, ensuring the seamless operation of our cutting-edge technology infrastructure.

Our Network is extremely resilient to support the continued growth of the platform and consists of a wide range of technologies from many market leading vendors.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Companys hybrid working from home policy.

Preferred skills and experience

  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices at a low level, including switches, routers, firewalls and access points.
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as Ethernet, TCP and IP, VLANs, and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools to diagnose and resolve network issues.
  • Understanding of network security principles, including access control lists, firewall policies and VPN configurations.
  • Experience in working with low-level network protocols and technologies, such as DHCP, DNS, NAT and IP addressing.
  • Ability to perform basic network device configurations, including firmware upgrades, port configurations and VLAN assignments.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve network issues.
  • Excellent documentation skills to maintain accurate records of network configurations, diagrams and troubleshooting steps.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, provide technical support to end users, and explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the mailbox and responding promptly to incidents and service requests, providing technical support to end-users and resolving network related issues.
  • Supporting and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, high availability, and optimum performance.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
  • Monitoring network performance and proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal uptime, throughput and latency.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to understand business requirements and provide network solutions that align with organisational objectives.
  • Performing network upgrades, including firmware updates and hardware replacements, while minimising disruption to the operation.
  • Documenting network configurations, diagrams and troubleshooting guides to maintain an accurate record of the network infrastructure.
  • Ensuring network compliance meets our networking standards.
