This role involves managing cross-functional collaboration to secure high-quality evidence aligned with programme requirements for hold point releases.

A critical aspect of the role is ensuring the sufficiency and quality of evidence supporting the release of hold points on the HPC construction site, playing a key role in aligning operational readiness with programme milestones.

That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What you will be doing

The Hold Point Manager plays a crucial role in coordinating with the commissioning and Pre-Operations teams, ensuring that hold points are released efficiently and meet the required quality standards to enable construction progress. With this, your responsibilities include:

  • Drive the timely delivery of defined hold points, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across the business to secure necessary evidence, influencing senior-level stakeholders and peers outside direct authority.
  • Assess and challenge evidence across various topics, providing constructive feedback on its adequacy.
  • Balance business demands with workload to optimise hold point releases, aligning with programme timelines.
  • Mentor and coach project teams on implementing effective hold point management to support commissioning activities and the transition into operations at HPC.
  • Present and justify evidence to the Hold Point Panel, Delivery Team, and Regulators as needed, ensuring a clear and robust case for hold point release.

Who you are

To be successful in this role, we’re looking for you to have experience successfully delivering results within a large-scale project and a proven ability to manage delivery effectively in a matrixed organisational structure. This includes coordinating across teams, balancing competing priorities, and ensuring objectives are met efficiently in complex environments. Additional requirements also include:

  • Strong knowledge of UK regulatory requirements and nuclear site licence compliance. Ideally also having knowledge of the ONR Nuclear Site Licence Conditions.
  • Skilled at identifying key stakeholders and decision-makers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes across projects and within the broader EDF organisation.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, capable of building trust-based relationships across all levels of EDF Energy and the construction industry.
  • Proactive and independent, adept at anticipating issues and crafting innovative solutions to overcome unexpected challenges.
  • Proven problem-solving expertise in technical matters, with a track record of effectively addressing complex issues.

Applications for this role close: Monday 9th December
