Background:

Main purpose of job:

Conducting a team-specific risk analysis for the core teams to strengthen and future-proof the existing risk management frameworks, with a focus on operational risks.


Responsibilities, duties and tasks:

  1. Meet with the team leaders (investment management, commercial, asset management, construction, finance, and all central functions) and draft an updated team-by-team risk matrix, with a full schedule of identified risks, and their mitigation and management.
  2. Help develop a standardised rating system for escalation and assessment of risk at the group level.
  3. Consider enhancements to existing risk reporting and develop risk reporting for fund investment committees and the company board.
  4. Develop training for the teams, where required, to enhance the identification and prioritisation of risks.
  5. Review existing risk policies and suggest updates and refinements based on the outcome of the initial risk analysis.
  6. Contribute to discussions on the review of risk appetite and risk tolerance.

  3. Enthusiastic and interested in learning about the different areas of the business.
