The Opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate and driven Business Development Manager to cover the Newcastle area. If you have a solid understanding of the UK spirits market and a background in FMCG or alcoholic beverages, with experience in sales or marketing, this could be the perfect role for you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive growth and expand our client’s market presence in the Newcastle area.
  • Target specific high opportunity accounts and groups within the On-Trade sector.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, including new accounts and partnerships.
  • Build and grow relationships to increase meaningful distribution, menu share, and house pour agreements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering exceptional customer service and support.
  • Promote and represent our client’s award-winning portfolio of spirits and third-party agency brands.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of brand initiatives and promotional activities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and client feedback.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the FMCG or alcoholic beverages industry.
  • Strong understanding of the UK spirits market and local business landscape in Newcastle.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for the spirits industry and a keen interest in market dynamics.
  • Willingness to travel within the Newcastle area as required.
