Senior Full Stack Developer


I am currently working with a growing Dublin based med-tech start-up. After beginning to build out their Dublin based team within the past 12-months, they are now looking for an experienced full stack engineer to join their tech team. The role is ideal for someone who is a senior full stack developer, with experience working in a start-up environment also being beneficial. It will require some leadership capabilities in the future as the team continues to grow, and is ideal for a senior developer who is looking to move into a leadership role.

This role allows for fully remote working within the UK and Ireland.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP and Laravel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, code standards).
  • Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide guidance and expertise to enhance their skills.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in PHP
  • 3+ years of experience working with the Laravel framework.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented PHP and Laravel best practices.
  • Experience in Front End frameworks, VUE/React/Angular
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries.
  • Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
