Senior Full Stack Developer
I am currently working with a growing Dublin based med-tech start-up. After beginning to build out their Dublin based team within the past 12-months, they are now looking for an experienced full stack engineer to join their tech team. The role is ideal for someone who is a senior full stack developer, with experience working in a start-up environment also being beneficial. It will require some leadership capabilities in the future as the team continues to grow, and is ideal for a senior developer who is looking to move into a leadership role.
This role allows for fully remote working within the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, code standards).
- Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Mentor junior developers and provide guidance and expertise to enhance their skills.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in PHP
- 3+ years of experience working with the Laravel framework.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented PHP and Laravel best practices.
- Experience in Front End frameworks, VUE/React/Angular
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries.
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
