Psychology Specialist – SEN Teaching Assistant | Wandsworth | Immediate Start

Psychology Specialist – SEN Teaching Assistant – Role Overview:

  • Position: Psychology Specialist – SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Wandsworth

  • Salary: Competitive rate, based on experience and qualifications
  • Contract: Full academic year until July 2025


Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group support to SEN students
  • Applying psychology knowledge to assist students with emotional and social development
  • Working closely with SEN staff to adapt resources and strategies for individual needs
  • Helping create a positive, inclusive environment that boosts student confidence and resilience


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 1st Class or 2:1 Degree in Psychology or related field with a strong academic background
  • Passionate about supporting SEN students with a focus on child and adolescent development
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to connect positively with students
  • Previous experience working with SEN children is desirable but not required
