We are Looking for a Python Developer with Migration Specialist for client based in London, UK - Permanent.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large-scale data migration projects, ensuring the successful transfer of data from legacy systems to new platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop detailed migration plans.
  • Design, develop, and implement data migration and transformation solutions using Azure, Python, and other relevant technologies.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of migrated data throughout the entire migration process.
  • Develop custom software solutions to address specific migration and transformation needs.
  • Utilize Python extensively for scripting, automation, and development of data migration and transformation tasks.
  • Apply strong Python development skills to build and maintain robust, efficient, and scalable software systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Python code.
  • Integrate Python-based solutions with Azure and other data engineering tools.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure data consistency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in data migration, transformation, and software development.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data migration, data transformation, and modernization projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products.
  • Strong expertise in Azure and data engineering.
  • Demonstrated strong experience in Python development, including scripting, automation, and application development.
  • Proficiency in software development with a focus on data migration and transformation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
