If you affirm these with confidence, we at Schroders are excited to link up with you for our Pensions Specialist team.


A background in pensions, with particular specialty in SIPPs, Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution areas is fundamental for this role. Your recent track record in financial service platform operations will also be highly valued as you contribute to our team.


What will you do

  • Setting up new pension accounts, aligning with compliance standards.
  • Effectively vetting pension transfer documentation and coordinating with various pension providers for flawless transfer processes.
  • Managing client contributions and facilitating direct debit collections.
  • Crunching the numbers to calculate and process pension retirement benefits, along with reconciliations.
  • Administering payments of income benefits via our payroll system.
  • Dealing with death benefits and articulately engaging with our customers through all communication channels.
  • Overseeing service level agreements and addressing incoming queries.
  • Keeping your finger on the pulse of technical and scheme changes in the financial services market.
  • Actively participating in team meetings, contributing valuable insights.
  • Developing a strong grasp of pensions and industry platforms.
  • Diligently following procedures and instructions to ensure our clients have the best outcome.


Who are we looking for

  • Relevant experience in administration or processing, ideally within the financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with the Personal Pension Administration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • An analytical approach combined with problem-solving skills.
  • A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in all work.
  • Team player, able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Self-driven, enthusiastic learner.
  • Skilled in time management and prioritisation.
  • An inquisitive mind, willing to ask questions and come up with process improvements.
