As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be working with end users, alongside other staff and liaising with suppliers, as appropriate.

In addition, you will manage the configuration of end user devices (laptops, desktops and tablets) from point of purchase through to deployment ensuring the end user is satisfied with the end result and informed of progress during the lifecycle. Displaying meticulous attention to detail through the process.


Your day to day will involve:


  • Managing the configuration of end user devices (laptops, desktops and tablets)
  • Resolving escalated 1st line support calls and service requests generated from the customer base or projects team.
  • Occasional involvement in internal project work or onsite support visits within the role.
  • Support calls and issues are to be resolved and documented in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Document details of all hardware & software items that have been installed so that configuration management records can be updated.
  • Monitor the progress of requests for support and ensure users and other interested parties are kept informed.
  • Prioritising requests for support in a systematic manner with a very sharp focus on attention to detail.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Required:

  • The desire to progress and a positive and proactive attitude to self-development.
  • Hold an interest in Computing and changes in the IT industry.
  • Determination to provide fast, high-quality support services.
  • Committed attitude towards a first-class customer service
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • A technical understanding of PC's and common operations.
  • Knowledge of Windows 7, 8 and 10, 11 Operating Systems.
  • A driving license is preferred with access to a vehicle.


Desirable:

  • A minimum of 1 year Infrastructure experience in a similar position managing multiple tasks.
  • Developing knowledge of current Microsoft and Mac operating systems.
  • Developing knowledge Office 365 administration experience including exchange online and Azure active directory.
  • Microsoft Active Directory administration.
  • Strong desktop support skills (Office suite, anti-virus etc.)
