How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four*?
Our colleagues’ wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so we’re always looking for new ways to improve everyone’s work/life balance. We’re taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).
4DWW will be rolled out within our school, when we have a full complement of staff, and within the next year – so there’s never been a more exciting time to join us #teamOFG
Are you an SEN Teacher committed to improving the lives of pupils and young people?
We are looking for a SEN Teacher to join our new Options Autism School - Skylarks School in Epsom, Surrey. The school will have capacity for 60 pupils and is due to open in December 2024.
Skylarks School will cater to pupils ages 11 – 19-year-old who have ASC and Complex Needs.
- Up to £44,000 per annum, depending on experience (not pro rata)
- 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday
- Term Time only
- Permanent
- This role does not offer sponsorship
About the role
Enjoy a rewarding education career and have a real impact on pupils and young people’s lives. Join an amazing team creating supportive, nurturing environments where our pupils achieve far more than they ever expected. Working as an SEN Teacher, you will deliver fun educational based learning which is tailored to each of our pupils to ensure they will achieve positive results.
Duties will include:
- Preparing, planning and assessing teaching sessions whilst maintaining an awareness of curriculum developments
- Writing and implement individual education plans, making assessments of educational attainment, setting challenging yet achievable targets
- Build relationships with all pupils, which will encourage their interest and participation in their education
- Creating an environment which is stimulating and purposeful for all pupils to promote teaching and learning outside the formal classroom settings
Key Skills Required:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status/Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills
