I am looking for an experiencedMechanical Project Engineer to work in the Southampton area. The perfect applicant will have knowledge and experience working on projects within wastewater or water treatment.
Role: Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: Southampton
Contract: Freelance
Rate: £450-£480per day
When: ASAP

Duties will include:
- Managing the interfaces and integration of the mechanical design
- Collaborate with the construction team to develop efficient and safe solutions throughout the design stages and into the construction phase
- Develop various procurement scopes
- Review returns
- Specify equipment that is required for the project and the standard required
- Work with the team to ensure a positive work environment
- Ensure all policies are adhered to
- Ensure all sub-contractor engineering designs meet required standards.
- Meet and liaise with the Project Team to produce plans / programs.
- Ensure the project has the most cost effective approach and this is done in a timely manner
- Produce and maintain all required documentation
Skills Required:
- Having a strong background of working within the water industry
- Ideally have experience working with clean water
- Knowledge of Reg 30 / WRAS
- Safe delivery of water projects to time, cost, and quality
- Be confident working in a team and adapting to more responsibility
- Experience managing others within a team
Skills Desirable:
- Ambitious and dynamic personality
- Experience of working on Water Industry construction projects, preferably with experience of large and complex deliveries
- Someone with a commitment to Right first time
