Paralegal Responsibilities:

  • Support fee earners in managing residential property transactions from start to completion
  • Handle client correspondence via telephone, email, and in person
  • Prepare and process legal documentation including contracts, transfers, and mortgage deeds
  • Conduct property searches and review results
  • Liaise with estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors
  • Maintain accurate case files and update case management systems
  • Assist with post-completion matters including SDLT returns and registration
  • Monitor deadlines and chase outstanding information from various parties
  • Prepare completion statements and bills
  • Handle client funds in accordance with SRA regulations
  • Provide administrative support to the wider team as required


Paralegal Requirements:

  • Previous residential conveyancing experience is essential (minimum 2 years)
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and relevant legislation
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Professional and client-focused approach
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service
  • Positive "can-do" attitude and willingness to learn
