Role Overview


We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing MSP in London. As a member of our team, you will be working within our fast-paced service environment as part of our professional services team, scoping out and implementing projects for Customers, whilst also acting as an escalation point for the service desk team when required. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:


- Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of cloud and on-prem platforms (Azure/Entra ID, ADDS, GCP, AWS), IaaS and SaaS platforms, networking, and virtualization.


- Problem-Solving Skills: Adept at diagnosing and resolving complex issues with a methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.


- Communication and Collaboration: As this role is both internal and customer facing, communication and collaboration skills are crucial for ensuring smooth cross-functional interactions. Capable of documenting processes, writing clear and concise reports, and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


- Proactive and Improvement-Oriented: Proactive approach to work, continuously seeking ways to optimize and improve existing infrastructure. Committed to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and willing to engage in continuous learning and professional development.


Skills & Experience:

- Extensive Technical Proficiency: Deep working knowledge of Microsoft technology stack (Windows Server, SQL, Exchange, Intune, Active Directory, Office 365), Storage management (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, FC, Cloud), Virtual Network and Private Cloud services (Azure, AWS), and Virtualisation technologies.

- Advanced System Management: Experience with bulk device management tools such as Intune, Miradore, Jumpcloud etc. patch management, performance monitoring, and scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, batch).

- Network Expertise: Strong technical networking experience including configuring, managing, and troubleshooting networks from a physical and software level. Experience with voice/data communications is essential also.

- Client Interaction: Exceptional client handling skills with strong telephone and written communication, adept at providing both technical and non-technical resolutions.

- Flexible Work Environment: Proven ability to work both onsite and remotely, individually and as part of a team, with experience in ITIL processes and operational support documentation.


In addition, any of the following would be advantageous:

- Previous experience working for an IT managed services provider (MSP)

- Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco or VMware certification
