We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and innovative Design Manager with a strong background in both food & beverage and hospitality sectors, to join our team at Sunset Hospitality Group UK, overseeing projects across Europe, Turkey & North Africa.

About the role

As our Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading design initiatives that enhance the guest experience and align with our brands vision across our F&B and hospitality venues in Europe, Turkey and North Africa. You will be based in London with frequent travel across Europe, Turkey and North Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and development of F&B and hospitality spaces, ensuring alignment with brand identity and guest expectations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and product development, to create integrated design solutions
  • Manage design projects from initial concept through to execution, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline compliance
  • Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to inform and inspire innovative design strategies
  • Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively throughout the design process
  • Ensure that all designs adhere to health, safety, and regulatory standards relevant to F&B and hospitality environments
  • Coordinate between different disciplines, including Interior Design Consultant, MEP Consultant, and Structural Consultant

About You

  • Masters degree in interior design or architecture
  • Minimum 5 years experience in design management, specifically within the F&B and hospitality sector, preferably on the client side
  • Strong portfolio showcasing successful F&B and hospitality design projects, demonstrating creativity and strategic thinking
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g. AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with 3D rendering tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and ideas clearly to diverse audiences
  • Deep understanding of current trends in F&B and hospitality including customer preferences and operational considerations
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage timelines and budgets effectively
  • Knowledge of branding, marketing, and customer experience strategies specific to F&B and hospitality, preferred
  • Experience with sustainable design practices in the F&B and hospitality sectors, advantageous
  • Familiarity with construction processes, vendor management, and working with contractors, advantageous
