Looking for a Mid/Sr level Java Developer to come join 150 Person+ FinTech Software Development company.


With a HQ based in London you’ll work with colleagues based across the world in the USA & South East Asia as the business looks to grow out their Engineering department with 3 new Teams


What you’ll be doing:

  • Work across the whole system architecture and contribute to design choices
  • Integrate GraphQL APIs with existing systems and third-party services
  • Work with other business stakeholders across, Product, Design etc to have aliment between business requirements and technical solutions within SCRUM meetings, Daily Stand-Ups & Sprint planning
  • Maintain a high quality level of Software applications built in Java
  • Design and Implement GraphQL APIs to meet with business Requirements
  • Provide mentorship to Jrs and new members to the team
  • Implement & uphold SOLID Principals & best practices


What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of commercial Java Development Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Have a high understanding of Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security
  • Have worked with OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), multithreading, and/or exception handling
  • Have knowledge on other areas of web development e.g. JavaScript (React/Vue), HTML OR CSS
  • Have worked with CI/CD pipelines that have been built in Bamboo, Jenkins or Fastlane
  • Knowledge of of security best practices in Java development, including secure coding principles and vulnerability mitigation
  • General interest in market trends and keeping up to date with all things Java


What would be a plus:

  • Previous Fintech/Finance experience
  • Live in commuting distance to London
  • Interest in the financial markets e.g. trading
  • Previously worked in larger set teams (8-10 people)
