Torque Consulting are currently seeking a Junior Design Engineer for a client of ours based in the Stockport Area. Our client are a globally renowned company and specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of equipment for various industries.


The role will involve all aspects of the design work, using Solidworks. Joining a development team of 8, you will be working at head office, producing and validating designs for new and existing products from concept through to productions. The role can be varied, including occasional site visits, speaking and dealing with production and suppliers.


You will be working on projects from cradle to grave, high innovation, and prototyping.


The ideal candidate will have 6+ months of mechanical design experience, full training will be provided to progress your career.


Key skills:


  • 3D CAD knowledge (Any major packages, ideally Solidworks or inventor)
  • HNC/D Trained or Apprentice Trained
  • Team player - Great attitude
  • Confident and professional attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
