At Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel we want to deliver a ridiculously personal service to all our guests, whether they are relaxing in our Spa or enjoying sustainably sourced Scottish seafood in our iasg restaurant. As Glasgow's only 5* Hotel, our team are focussed on providing our guests with 5* service and making heartfelt human connections in our boutique hotel, standing strong in Glasgow's city centre.

As a Director of Operations, we will support you to:

We are looking for a Director of Operations to join our team and work closely with our cluster General Manager to lead our hotel's continued success and continue to grow our business. As Glasgow's only 5* property, we pride ourselves on providing an excellent level of service beyond guest's expectations.

You will work alongside our Cluster General Manager and you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running and strategic planning of the hotel operations, working closely with our F&B and Kitchen teams, FOH, Spa, Finance and Commercial teams.

  • Experience in quality lifestyle luxury properties (experience within the Scottish market is preferred). Our mission is to provide unique and exceptional service across all areas of the business in line with Kimpton standards, so having experience working within an F&B background is preferred
  • Strong guest focus, you will be forward-thinking and strategic, with experience in a branded multi-venue establishment (ideally within a luxury property) and always keep the guest at the centre of your plans
  • Hands on approach, you won't be afraid to take a proactive approach to managing and identify who needs support and how best to approach this. You will be an inspirational leader who likes to lead by example
  • Excellent leadership qualities with a passion for developing high performing teams and fostering a positive Culture that generates innovation throughout.
