Job Description: Area Sales Manager – Brampton Chase

Area: South including Dorset, Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey & Berkshire

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Area Sales Representative to join our dynamic team at Brampton Chase. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing sales activities within an assigned territory, building strong relationships with customers, and driving revenue growth by promoting our flooring products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and target potential customers, including retailers and contract customers.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets by actively pursuing new business opportunities and managing existing accounts.
  • Present and demonstrate our full range to customers, highlighting features, benefits, competitive advantages and service levels.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs, providing tailored solutions, and offering exceptional service.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers within the assigned area, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.


Market Analysis & Strategy:

  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer demands and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the territory.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback in CRM systems.
  • Ability to process sales data from reports and platforms such as Power BI to aid and influence strategy and strengthening of relationships and territories.

Product Knowledge & Training:

  • Stay up-to-date on the Company’s products and services, installation techniques and industry standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to customers on product specifications and proper usage, as required.
  • Attend team meetings and share best practices with colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the flooring, or similar materials industry.
  • Strong understanding of the flooring market, including hardwood, laminate, vinyl and carpet products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and nurture long-term customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Education and Experience:

  • Training and experience within business, marketing, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in a related industry.
  • Represented companies at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
