About the Role:

We’re looking for someone to tell our story. We are the largest asset manager outside of London or Edinburgh, responsible for investing £45bn in a responsible and sustainable manner.

You’ll support our communications function in implementing the communications programme of activity. You will lead the management of the reputation of us as a responsible investor and an employer of choice, through managing our relationships with external audiences. A key part of this will be the development of content for use with external audiences across multiple channels.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who has previous experience of a Communications role and who has evidence of managing multiple projects of varying scale, to budget and on time, which may have improved or protected the reputation of an organisation. A self-starter who excels in a fast paced and dynamic environment, you will have excellent organisational and leadership abilities and have evidence of digital and social media handling to promote the reputation of an organisation.

With outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to assimilate technical information and present it on a cogent and understandable manner, you will have an understanding of internal communications, developing content and channels to engage colleagues. Your experience will include the end to end management of corporate events and of building long term valuable relationships, particularly with media relations.

An understanding / experience of the financial services sector (or another regulated industry) is desirable, but not essential, as is experience of writing and/or managing corporate reporting.

About Us:

We are a collaboration of 11 Local Government Pension Funds with a total asset value of c.£60 billion (as of the 31st of March 2023). We're a FCA regulated investment company created to pool the investments of like-minded Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) funds – our ‘Partner Funds’. Established in 2018, we are the largest LGPS pools in the UK, and the largest UK asset manager outside London and Edinburgh.
