Position Summary & Key Responsibilities
The Commercial & Contracting Consultant will be accountable for optimizing the contracting and Financial Account Management practices within Korn Ferry RPO business, in particular in the EMEA region.
This role will implement standardized contracting practices to maximize efficiencies within the business and minimize risks. This individual will work closely with Finance, Legal, Operations and leadership for day-to-day execution, and will be responsible for significant internal and external change management initiatives.
- First point of review for all contracts
- Following up on key contract clauses as they arise (ie CPI, Min Volumes etc.)
- Develop and maintain a contract templates
- Identify and mitigate client engagement risks by advising RPO teams with regards to sound contract provisions, standards, and approaches in accordance with Korn Ferry policies, principles, and standards.
- Partner to develop consistent standards and monitor compliance regularly
- Support legal team to integrate client standards and client project terms into contracts
- Partner in proposal process to ensure seamless transition from proposal to contract
- Build and maintain a network of contracting champions in different locations to ensure effective local support for the RPO, finance, and legal departments
- Coach and support RPO bid teams across the Globe
- Assist in deploying training required for the new contract process implementation
- Assist in updating the contracting training materials
- Assist in various ad-hoc projects
Education, Experience, & Other Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal, Finance, Business Administration or other related field
- 3 or more years of experience managing complex, high-profile contracts or contracting processes
- Previous risk management, compliance, or regulatory experience.
- Previous experience in Legal, Professional Services, Finance or a regulated environment is an advantage
- Commercially astute. Must have a commercial mindset and be able to understand multiple business perspectives. Clear understanding of commercial/client-facing issues
- Experience interfacing with external clients and stakeholders
- Strong financial and quantitative skills
- Demonstrated understanding and appreciation for standardizing processes to generate efficiencies and improve service levels
