The Role:
- You must possess formal qualifications in relevant electrical assembly workmanship standards, completion of a relevant apprenticeship, or demonstrable relevant experience.
- You will need an awareness and working understanding of ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) standards.
- You must be competent in performing complex assembly, disassembly, and modification of electromechanical subassemblies and Radar systems.
- High accuracy and attention to detail is essential when working to close tolerances to ensure consistent quality.
- Conducting the assembly, repair, and modification of products ranging from Line Replaceable Units to complete Radar systems.
- Utilizing business systems and processes to meticulously record and provide evidence of compliance.
- Provide assistance and support in the professional development of other personnel.
- Capable of prototyping with limited data and documentation, and able to provide clear and accurate feedback for product and process development.
- Experienced in reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams.
This role is with a Global Aerospace & defence group based in Cowes. The role involves manufacturing, repairing, and modifying units and products in a technological environment, and supporting future product development in collaboration with Design Engineering. This position in the exciting field of radar offers opportunities for skill development and potential career progression.
5 years UK residency is essential due to SC requirement.
