Head of Clinical Negligence Solicitor Wanted £65-£75K


Are you an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor looking for an exciting new opportunity? Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join their team as the Head of Clinical Negligence. This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for managing a high workload, leading a team, and driving the performance of the department. ✨


Responsibilities:


➡️ Lead, manage, train, and motivate the Clinical Negligence team.


➡️ Report directly to the Operations Director and collaborate closely with them to develop and grow the department.


➡️ Manage your own caseload and supervise all caseloads within the team.


➡️ Provide expert advice on technical queries and referrals.


➡️ Work with the Operations Director to innovate new ways of working and ensure the department operates efficiently.


➡️ Collaborate with the marketing department to drive new cases into the department.


Requirements:


✅ At least 5 years of experience as a people manager.


✅ 10+ years of experience dealing with Clinical Negligence claims.


✅ 10+ years of litigation experience.


✅ Proven track record in settling clinical negligence cases.


✅ Excellent knowledge of current case law.


✅ Strong IT and systems knowledge, experience with Proclaim is a plus.


Key Accountabilities:


✨ Meet individual and departmental targets.


✨ Manage day-to-day productivity levels within the department.


✨ Oversee the day-to-day management of all staff within the litigation department.


✨ Recruit and train new staff.


✨ Provide ongoing training to existing staff.


✨ Implement strategies to improve performance and drive efficiency.


✨ Adhere to workflows and company processes.


✨ Provide regular management information and reports.


✨ Conduct file reviews and audits of Legal Advisors within the team.


✨ Coordinate day-to-day referrals within the department.

Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.


Develop and lead a team to drive improvements.


Constantly monitor and identify ways to improve overall effectiveness.
