We're seeing a Cyber Security Architect to join a rapidly growing Fintech company at the forefront of financial innovation. With offices across the UK, we are dedicated to delivering cutting-edge financial solutions to our clients. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Architect to lead our cybersecurity efforts and ensure our systems are robust, secure, and resilient against emerging threats.


Role Overview:

As the Cyber Security Architect, you will be the lead expert in shaping and implementing our cybersecurity strategy across the organization. You will be pivotal in designing, developing, and managing comprehensive security architectures that protect our digital assets and support our business growth. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding our financial platforms and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of a robust cybersecurity architecture that aligns with the company’s strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across the organization, implementing measures to protect against emerging threats.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data.
  • Collaborate with IT, development, and compliance teams to integrate security best practices into all aspects of our technology stack.
  • Oversee security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management to ensure the effectiveness of security controls.
  • Provide expert guidance on the secure design of systems, applications, and networks, with a focus on fintech-specific challenges.
  • Lead incident response efforts, including the development and execution of incident management plans, to minimize the impact of security breaches.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and regulatory changes, and apply this knowledge to continuously enhance our security posture.
  • Educate and train employees on cybersecurity best practices to foster a culture of security awareness.
  • Report directly to senior management, providing insights and recommendations on cybersecurity strategy and investments.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Cyber Security Architect, with a strong background in designing and implementing security architectures in complex environments.
  • Expertise in fintech or financial services, with a deep understanding of industry-specific security challenges and regulatory requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices, including ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
  • Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, encryption, and identity and access management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or SABSA are highly desirable.
