As an interior architectural Designer at AGofC, you will collaborate closely with our design team to produce outstanding drawings tailored to meet the needs of our high-level residential and commercial clientele. You will report to the Design Director who will direct and supervise the work as well as mentor performance and development.

You will be part of the Design team working closely with all brands and departments in the business and in turn you will:


Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills when producing and / or coordinating high level Interior Architectural Design Packages & specification schedules.
  • Create and put together tender packages including schedules of works.
  • Evidencing excellent project management skills with clients and the wider team,
  • Producing and issuing project programmes and progress reports on a regular basis.
  • Producing high level InDesign presentations with the aid of photoshop and other relevant packages.
  • Work to a written or verbal brief
  • Assist the team in completing architectural/interior packages as requested
  • Assist the team to produce detailed drawings and tender packages as requested
  • Liaise with contractors and other professionals as required
  • Attend, site meetings with contractors and other specialists
  • Attend site visits to check on progress, as instructed by the senior architect
  • Adherence and compliance with company handbook and policies following Best in Class standards
  • Ensure quality control and correlation for both the internal design team and external project associates at all stages of a project, ensuring that the production process is in line with the highest of standards
  • Prepare update and cross reference preambles where applicable.
  • Continue to develop knowledge and skills relevant or applicable to your role.
  • Attend and organise CPD’s on a regular basis.
  • In addition to the duties which this position normally entails there may from time to time be additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the group.
  • Adherence and compliance with company handbook and policies following Best in Class standards


Additional responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Attend weekly brand meetings
  • Competitor activity and new trend assessment
  • Ensure that the sample library area is maintained added to and tidy at all times
  • Ensure that all AGC Design documents are up to date and in their correct template folders
  • Support Design Team on day to day basis
  • Organising various training workshops and development across the team
  • Ensuring that your team are contributing to Design team responsibilities


Requirements:

  • Must hold an applicable degree or diploma.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience working in a professional design studio.
  • You should bring to the group an enthusiasm and willingness to learn that helps the group and their colleagues provide the first-class service our clients expect, working on these high-end residential and commercial design projects with confidence in a client-facing role.
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently in an organised manner
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
  • The ability to cope well with numerous projects and adhere to tight deadlines and budgets,
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Strong technical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite range including Photoshop and InDesign
  • A good understanding of RIBA stages and wider team roles.
  • Good understanding of UK planning rules and regulations
  • 3D capabilities are advantageous but not essential
  • Exceptional attention to detail and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills including verbal, written and visual
