About the role


We are seeking a Factory Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations and ensure the efficient production of goods. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, implementing production schedules, and maintaining quality standards.


Key duties


  • Supervise factory workers and monitor their performance
  • Develop and implement production plans to meet targets
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes


Qualification


Relevant business management qualification/training


Experience & Knowledge


  • Proven leadership with at least 5 years’ factory management experience, including having responsibility for multiple sites.
  • ­­­Successful track record of leading a large production team.
  • Exceptional leadership and people skills, tough and resilient, whilst being able to manage through delegation.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality and cost objectives.


Abilities & Skills


  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Performance driven with a proven record of success within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and mentor staff.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, well-versed in Lean manufacturing and sourcing and other business improvement methodologies.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated.
  • Numerate and possessing good analytical skills, with experience of tracking production statistics, variances, KPIs etc. Computer literate.
  • Ability to travel and possess a full, clean driving licence.
