Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design into the code

• Coach junior team members

• Manage testing and bug fixes

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

• Develop and maintain high-performance applications using Python and React.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

• Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.

• Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise in production environments.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills

• Strong experience with Python web development, including deep understanding of Django or Flask frameworks.

• Understanding of development principles such as Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns and Agile methodologies.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and strong teamwork abilities."

• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and associated Python ORM’s is essential.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS), REST APIs, container tools (e.g. Docker), version control (e.g. Git).

• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Linear.

• Some experience using React would be ideal.

• Experience using GoLang or a demonstrable willingness to learn new languages will be looked on favourably.
