Risk and Health Consultant

Up to £60,000

Multiple locations: Bristol, Woking, London, Manchester, Ipswich, or Birmingham


The Role:

  • This is a non-regulated, B2B, employee benefits role
  • Maintain and develop a portfolio of new and existing corporate clients by providing high quality advice and consultancy to an agreed budget
  • Ensure that revenue from this portfolio is profitable, identify and expand lines of cover and service delivery
  • Identify and proactively develop new business opportunities


Key accountabilities:

  • Actively contribute towards the development and management of the Employee Benefits corporate objectives
  • Responsible for client account ownership – anticipates and responds to the on-going and future needs and objectives of clients, with a prompt and flexible approach to meet and exceed their expectations and ensure consistent delivery of outstanding service
  • Always demonstrates extensive and up to date technical employee benefits knowledge, advising clients as required within the designated Permitted Areas of Activity as confirmed by line management/Compliance
  • Develop effective internal and external relationships to assist in providing an efficient professional service to clients in line with service agreements and manage their expectations on work being undertaken
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets, through retention of existing clients and new business generation
  • Ensure the profitable growth of the business by identifying and proactively developing and securing additional revenue from existing clients and new client relationships through cross selling initiatives, referrals, professional connections and leveraging the business internal network
  • Proactively identify other new business opportunities for both Wealth Management Advisers and General Insurance broking colleagues.
  • Ability to draw up and negotiate on services / fee proposals.
  • Ensure any additional services offered to clients are agreed on the standard fee pricing basis through sign off by management
  • Preparation of detailed client reports, power point presentations, spreadsheets etc
  • Work closely with and assist in the development of Associate Consultants and others within the team as directed by line management
  • Undertake all projects in a professional, timely and compliant manner in liaison with other teams as required
  • Attend team/Consultant meetings to share and exchange views and drive forward best practice and innovation within our services portfolio
  • Carry out duties with our internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulation, good governance and the businesses shared values, including putting clients at the heart of our business


Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience within similar role in an EBC or Insurer role
  • Demonstrable record of high sales success, with ability to manage and develop compliant business from new and existing clients in the corporate client arena
  • Service and sales orientated: outstanding customer service, translates client needs into engagements, demonstrates commerciality in their actions, established network of clients internally and externally, developing and maintaining strong relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Confident presentation skills, both internally and externally
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with Corporate clients at Board level (MD/FDs) and senior people in external organisations
