A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head Brewer at Batemans Brewery located close to the coast in beautiful Lincolnshire.

Batemans was established 150 years ago and is fiercely 100% independent. It has 50 of its own pubs and 350 Free Trade Accounts. Come join the Tradition with Ambition brewery and be part of the exciting plans for the future

In addition to an attractive salary, the package also includes a 3 bedroom Brewery Riverside Cottage.

Key Responsibilities:

To brew a consistent range of beers of high quality, from raw material selection and sourcing, through to conditioning and packaging

To brew innovative ‘one off beers’

Recipe formulation

Effective utilisation and overseeing of the Laboratory

Introduce new packaging formats; kegs and cans

Day-to-day management and leadership of Brewery operations & staff

Production planning

Stock control

Boiler, Refrigeration, Utilities, Trade Effluent management

Equipment maintenance

External Accreditation & certification such as SALSA

Brew House admin and record keeping

Health & Safety coordinator for the Brewery

Sustainability

Experience:

Relevant qualifications to degree level, IBD qualifications or equivalent experience

Management experience

Experience in brewing and handling, cask and keg beers

Laboratory experience

Budgetary control

Worked for larger and smaller operations
