This position is responsible for all electrical issues within the hotel to respond to all reactive maintenance. To be responsible for all record keeping for proactive maintenance such as emergency lighting and generator tests. As an Electrician you will be responsible for assisting the hotel in working towards the vision of being meticulously maintained. To ensure all jobs reported are followed up to completion ensuring a high level of service. To report any faults to the Engineering Coordinator. To bring to the attention of the manager any possible Health and Safety risks in the building and to assist the guest with any requests they might have whilst staying in the hotel.

The electrician main responsibilities will be to maintain and repair all electrical distribution boards and power and lighting circuits. This includes

  • Ensuring all electrical issues are repaired in a timely manner and report any issues to the Technical Services Manager.
  • Ensure all back of house areas electrical issues are repaired in a timely manner and report any issues to the Technical Services Manager.
  • Work closely with the rooms technicians and shift engineers to support and guide them in all electrical issues.
  • To leave all works areas in a safe, tidy and clean condition.
  • To complete all electrical fire life and safety checks and record them in the fire life safety file.
  • To complete monthly and annual emergency lighting and tests and record results
  • PAT test all new appliances
  • Train all staff in basic fault finding and repairs
  • Control stock and make sure all required items are available and all spares are maintained in a neat and tidy manner

You will be a confident communicator, enthusiastic and motivated, with a good eye for detail and accuracy. With this in mind, you will have previous experience at a similar level and have proven skills within a 5-star luxury hotel or similar environment.
