As a Learning Support Tutor and Functional Skills Tutor, you'll play a vital role in supporting learners, including those with identified learning difficulties and disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will involve identifying each learner's unique needs, delivering tailored support, and contributing to various learning programmes, both government-funded and commercial.
This role combines remote work with field-based duties, including face-to-face delivery within a 25-mile radius of the SE1 area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one, group, and webinar sessions to support Learning Support and Functional Skills
- Conduct monthly interventions for ongoing learner progress
- Provide pastoral support using Learning Support Signposting Tools
- Monitor and coordinate learning and assessment visits as per individual plans
- Use approved learning materials and resources to ensure learners achieve qualifications within set timescales
Collaborative Working:
- Support peer-to-peer training on Functional Skills
- Engage with employer/learner mentors for continuous progress
Compliance:
- Update the Learning Support Manager on learner progress
- Adhere to ESFA funding rules and maintain evidence of learning support
- Manage diaries for timely interventions and content planning
Key Performance Indicators:
- Operational Excellence: Meet ESFA and Ofsted standards, drive continuous improvement
- Learner Retention: Enhance engagement, retention, and progression
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure activities comply with ESFA rules, maintain thorough documentation
- Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity: Promote standards during visits and interactions, assist in resource development
