About the Role

Being a Chef at Butlins really is a role like no other, where you can combine your love for food and cooking alongside making special memories for our guests every day.

As a Sous Chef, you will work alongside a talented team of chefs to deliver our food proposition across resort which varies from proper pub grub to American Style dining and everything in between. Depending on the venue, you may be running the venue or working alongside a Head Chef to oversee and manage small teams of commis chefs to deliver excellent quality every time.

Responsible for a specified section of the kitchen, you will ensure the safe preparation, cooking, and presentation of all dishes alongside set recipe specifications and brand standards.

When joining Butlins, you also will be enrolled in our Award Wining Chef Academy which will allow you to build your skills in a fun and educational environment and grow within your chef career.

About You
We are looking for individuals that are motivated and keen to progress in a fast paced and exciting brandExperience in a role at a similar level is essential. You should have also passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team to continually deliver high standards in a fast paced and busy kitchen environment.

As with any chef role at this level, you will also be responsible for managing margins and controlling costs and all things health, safety and hygiene related.

You should also have a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to keep our restaurants turning over smoothly throughout the different breaks we offer to our guests.As with all roles at Butlins, whilst your experience is important to us, we are also passionate about finding people with a willingness to learn and a desire to make a difference to our guests.We can support your career choice by helping you achieve a level 2 / level 3 Professional Cookery qualification and grow your skills and progression through the award winning Butlins Chef Academy.
